Nice pics! Do you have any of the new CBR 1000RR, besides the gas tank.
    Look, lean, believe!

Make sure you go to the Hyosung booth. The have free lap dances there, as well as a "Champagne Room" for only $5, if you sign up for their GV650 mailing list!

Yeah, the bike show was a waste money.
I was right there when the lady dropped the Kiwi.
I saw lots of people trying out the bike and they put the kick stand up...
why??? did they think the bike would feel better with the kick stand up?

The new CBR1000RR actually looks much better in person than it does in any magazine...
The new Black/Gold Gixxer 1000 looks absolutely terrible. It has to be the worst colour scheme I have ever seen on a bike... The all black is nice, and the Silver/White is nice...

Show was actually quite crappy this year... The new ZX-10R is BRUTAL if you are tall... Your knees will hit the buldges on the upper portion of the gas tank...

Is that MV Agusta part of some eye candy display? And no red 848s, I still think Ducati's in white is just wrong?

There was a red 848 you could sit on, next to the 1098. The white 848 was the "eye candy" display in the center.

I still like the show, it's what I expect. A place to go & sit on all the bikes within walking distance of each other without a sales guy standing over your shoulder and something to do for an afternoon/evening.

OK I admit I had one suzuki guy speak up when I said the BK was ugly, all he kept saying was how the front end had to be big to "keep the front wheel down", like a chuck of plastic could do that. Insulting to say the least.

Those were scantily clad bikini models? All I saw was a cattle market. I steered clear of all those booths but some of the girls manning the GPBikes booth were really sweet.

They should have TAZED the broad that dropped the bike.... Funny enough, in the Kawasaki area I saw one bike that had a cracked fairing on the right hand side by the front turn signals.. Quite a bad crack too....

One of the guys from Kahuna told me that 4 bikes from Kawi got dropped yesterday.

Kawasaki was the only dealer not too have their bikes locked upright..

It was nice to sit on the ZX14 and see how light it was though

The new '08 CBR1000 was even worse in person than the magazines. Front end looks like a whale - round and way too vertical. Nasty.

Ya i noticed that too, i dont think any of their bikes were locked straight up which was cool for me so i could rock them around and feel the wieght. I thought the zx14 was going to be sooo heavy but i was very suprised and then remembered they made it to be as light as possible :P

    anyway
Here are some pics i took and my friend. Sorry, their not very good because we do not know much about photography and sorry for us being ON most of the bikes haha. But for those who didnt go or something here are some pics.

Keep in mind these bikes are bone dry, no fuel, oil, coolant or battery in them. Depending on the bike, the wet weight may be anywhere from 70-100lbs heavier.

70 to 100 lbs heavier seems like overkill for no more then a combined total of perhaps 20 litres of liquid more... but then again, I'm still green. Anyone care to comment on the accuracy of that?
