I was not impressed with the show this year. The lighting was terrible and the show got moved to a secondary room; the main room was being used for CIBC's xmas party.
here are a few shots, I will download a few more tomorrow. They are not great; the lighting forced me to take most of the pictures at 1600ISO at 2.8F-stop.
this lady couldn't handle the weight of the bike and this was the end result. She almost got crashed by the bike. No damage to the fairings.

Couldn't handle the weight of the bike? She's standing on the left side, it's resting on the right side, and the kick-stand is up. I think she shouldn't be allowed within 5 feet of a motorcycle.
If you wanna drop some bikes for no reason whatsoever, take the course haha
Mmm, Toronto Motorcycles
Isn't that a 1200cc Concours something like that? She sure looks too small compared to that. I'll be going on Sunday. Have ou seen the new 250r 2008 there?

Poor bike.... Actually someone dropped a Harley on me as well today,.... lucky me that I could hold the bike I was on. ... that would have been a punishment that I was trying a cruiser....
BTW, I don't know what the designers from Suzuki were thinking when they created the new Busa....
Nice pictures.

she lost her balance; she got the bike leaning too much to the right and was not strong enough to get it back to the centre. How many of us have dropped bikes in the garage? I know I came really close on two occasions.
I thought this one was the winner. let's "armorol" the tires, it will look really nice. without a doubt, someone that never been on a bike.

thanks for the pic. seriously, though...what is someone like her doing sitting on a kawi concours and lifting it off of the sidestand? you've got to have a little common sense. hell, i'd probably be nervous doing it...that thing is huge.
I watched it happen... she got off on the right side and lost it... what's that thing weigh? 600lbs? It took 3 of the kawi guys to lift it back up.
Funny, we all were in the same area when it happened....
a few more pics
This is the same room as last year, overall more floor space if I remember why they moved.
I was sitting 3 bikes over when she dropped the connie14, nice crunch sound as the mirror folded in. First words outta the kawi guys mouths was "don't try & lift it", they had to get the Z1000 moved first too since they were so close together.
It happens every year, people let there guard down &/or are caught off guard by an unfamilair bike. To the people flaming her, you need to relax, it happens. I'm sure they expect it a couple times over the weekend. If they wanted to, they could easliy mount them like most of the other displays & keep them upright all the time.
those pic's were pretty sweet. thanks for posting veteq

It was interesting to see that both kawi and Honda (Yamaha will net year, I am sure) have returned to side exhausts after the under-the-seat setup not working as well. Got to give it to Suzuki to put performance ahead of looks.
On a side note, the new Honda looks great, love the new tank logo. Beats a sticker with clear-coat over it.
