    Hope they got the right guy - would have been horrible if it was just an innocent rider.

    If it was the right rider, if he/she in fact was fleeing arrest or ticket... It always amazes me how once a potential "fleeing" situation arises, death or dismemberment becomes a positive resolution for the officer's actions.

    Always a difficult subject.... and thankfully a judgment call I don't have to make. I would hate to be a cop that just killed or severely injured a girl on her bike, only to potentially have another bike whip by (the actually culprit) and the initial chase car in pursuit of the proper driver.

    here is the full video from the police officer initiating the chase:

    --> love how they didn't commit any crime when the cop tries to pull them over, bike is not stolen, nothing.

    here is the view of the jerk officer that hit them... yikes!

    --> no need for this...

    And all these officers got were a couple of suspensions. Where's the justice here?

    If the bike would have stopped instead of running, NONE of that would have happened. Why not just stop? Why run, and go through at least two stop signs? Treat the cause, not the symptom. Guess the bike rider did not really care for his passenger either.

    I think you need another response for today
    Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity.

    are you saying that the ends justify the means?
    so, instead of just letting the biker go and track him down later (the cop has the rear of the bike on tape, thus the license plate), he'd rather apply some vigilante justice and almost kill them? I'm not a runner, but in my opinion, in these cirumstances, the cops were entirely in the wrong. No need to be so aggressive for the hell of it.

    Can you not apply that very same logic to the biker? No need to be so aggressive for the hell of it? Too many think that running is the answer, if they were held accountable for their actions and the reactions of law enforcement, maybe that would stop. It all comes down to common sense, don't run, or be willing to accept the outcome for the situation that you created.

    sure you can apply the same logic to the biker, but to what extreme? Would you say that a man that steals a loaf of bread should have his hand cut off with no due process? I would hope not.
    As such, this biker didn't deserve what he got because he ran. That's for the courts to decide, not some renegade cop.
