My son broke his leg a few weeks ago and I took him into emerg on a fri nite @ 9pm, was home w/cast on by midnite. Not bad at all, though I found everyone just trips over each other, no one seems to know what to do next.
One person puts an i.v. in , one person takes it out.
One person help take his clothes off and puts on a hospital nitey, one person takes that off and helps put his clothes on.
One person says he may need surgery, one person says it looks good and it'll heal fine the way it is.
One person give 50 mils of painkillers, then another asks around to see how much he got , then gives 25 more.
Hes had 3 casts on already because each person who looks at it says," no,no,no thats all wrong, it should be like this."
They actually did 20mins worth a work at the hospital in all honesty.

You do not, but if it's urgent, then at least you're getting the care you need. It also covers the cost of obtaining a second opinion from another surgeon. All if you've been waiting more than 30 days. Much better than the alternative of waiting for Mr. McGuinty to speed up your wait times!
