    77 z50

Found this bike for sale considering buying it...

"1977 Honda Z50, runs exellent, mint gas tank, new rims and tires, seat is in good shape, frame was sand blasted and painted, lots of fun!!, great christmas present, must sell $550 obo "

now my question.. I'm 6 foot 2 and the old z50's are possibly the smallest bikes in the world.. would I be able to ride this bike without dying? Its 2 hours away so its quite a drive in my van to just see if it will work for me or not.. any ideas?

If it runs and does not smoke not a bad deal. Check the inside of the tank and see what it is like.
the tanks are hard to find in good shape and expensive when you do.

It is missing a ton of parts if you are thinking of restoring it. They are a 6 volt motor with points.

Your brother's is a beaut. I've got a '73 for when my son expresses an interest in 2 wheels.

Headlight / tail light - what else do you see that one missing?

Do you have any links to a good parts source? My front forks are a little wonky.
Better to regret something you have done than something you haven't.

It took me almost 2 years to find a Z50 in decent shape that wasn't sold. I bought mine sight unseen and drove 3 1/2 hrs to get it. Better decide if you want one before hand, and prepare to go after it like it's cheap lakefront property.

    Thanks, The bike is missing,
Front fork reflectors, the seat and gas cap are far from being original.
