Today @ approx 1pm I was out for a ride on the Forks, riding from hwy10 to Belfountain only to find the road blocked by a 53ft tractor trailer @ the S-bend, the driver said he was rerouted somewhere on Miss rd by the police (i think he said Mayfield Rd) he wanted to turn but they made him go straight, not knowing where he was he just kept going north (don't think he'll do that again). A small tow truck showed up before the OPP, dragged the trailer sideways so he could get pointed down the hill. He was free but not gone when the OPP showed up, I got outta there so I'm not sure if he was charged.

hahaha looks like gap type corners when the trucks come thru, LOL

Where is this road from London?
The road looks alot better. I'll be checking it out today hopefully. The same thing happened 2 summers ago. The truck was stuck for awhile. They ended up putting a silver diamond shaped sign saying the road is unpassable by big trucks before you hit the turn going northbound.
God damn rookies! Thats what interaxle differential locks are for! Lock em up and full throttle ahead! I could understand if there was a guard rail on both sides of the road...but not if theres still room...
I'm guessing this is the corner this happened on.
Dude... just wondering if you've ever driven a tractor/trailor before?
a tractor/truck with a 53footer trailer would not make that turn.. impossible!!! the one side of turn has a 50+ft drop off a railway bridge. and the outside radius of that turn is 12-15 meters apart with heavy decline drop if you are heading from west to east on Forks...
Ya thats what i do for a living, except i drive a stretched out volvo with a sleeper and 5th wheel moved pretty damn far back...and in that truck i'd still be able to make it. As for his guys truck hes got a day cab with an insane turn radius, theres no reason for him to end up like that unless hes a rookie...
Look at the guys trailer wheels, those axels slide, he should have moved them all the way up, slid his 5th wheel all the way towards the cab and gone on the left side of the road and i guarantee it he would have made it. He would have gone off the road a bit but would have made it...
I didn't find there was that much of a change. One corner going from east to west you have to be careful because the road drops off and you catch some zero g's as you enter the turn...and you can't see that this is going to happen.
Keep the front wheel in the air and the shiny side up.

I took that on the 11th and I loved it. I went from FOTC to Mississauga rd. Except it was wet and cold, I think most of the bumps were done?? I didnt use to go that route alot.
