Ok.. My rear tire on my bike is flat so I need some new tires for my bike... I posted up on the for sale section and had a couple people who emailed me about used tires they have... So now I am debating on which ones are the better deal (money wise) and which tires are better riding wise... I want a good tire if I am gonna pick some up..
1st set - Dunlop Sportmax GP... Brand new front tire.. rear tire has been through one heat at Shannonville.. 100% down middle and 90% on the sides.. Tires are 120 and 190.. He is asking $175 for them...
2nd set - Pirelli Diablo Corsas.. About 70% left... They are also 120 and 190 sizes.. He wanted $150 for them.. Here is some pictures of these ones..
For trackdays and racing, this is one of the best tires out there, they're a decent street tire as well.
The Pirelli is a Hi-perf street/trackday tire, the rear is a 190/50.
The difference in profile will make the bike handle differently.
As a street only tire, the pirelli may be a bit better in terms of wear/durability but depending on the bike you have, the 190/50 will make it turn like a bus, especially with a 5.5 in rim(if you have a 600)
the 190/60 dunlop was specifically designed for the 5.5 in rim of the 600.
If you look at the tires together, the dunlop will have a significantly taller sidewall.
They're both good tires, you just have to decide which is right for your situation.
