POLICEMAN power-play song, lose your ride:

More power has been given to the nice policemen in a town somewhere in Illinois.
Now in this little town - if you play your music loud enough to be heard from 75' away, a very nice policeperson will impound your car and take everything that it contains.
I suppose they are missing the sound of all the drive by shootings in Chicago:

Coming to a province near you?

Three easy ways to lose your ride to the NICE POLICEMEN / WOMEN.
    1) 50 over & whatever else they think is a no no - Ontario
    2) Appear intoxicated and get stabbed - Arizona
    3) Listening to music - small town Illinois.

    More to come.........

If your music is so loud it can be heard 75 feet away, it's too f-in loud. I've got an aftermarket deck and a pair of 10 inch subs in my car, and at a reasonable listening volumn, you can't hear it 10 feet from the car except for the subs.

If you can hear your music 75 feet away then your a nuisance.

    Nuisance indeed........however:
Can you justify "theft" by nice policemen, who are hired to "serve and protect"? I can't - sorry.

Off topic, did anybody see Cam Wooley on the Q&A show on TV the other day. Wooley said they don't even have to witness you to enforce the "50+" impoundment. Nice.

"The police can't be everywhere at once and many people are calling in to notify us when they see something," he [Wooley] said, adding that officers don't actually have to witness the violations to impound a vehicle, they only need "reasonable and probably grounds."

Lawyers would have a field day with this one.

Who knows a lawyer and has a crapmobile that they'd be willing to sacrifice?

    1. Arrange for someone to report said vehicle doing 50+ over a speed limit.
    2. Arrange for the police to impound it. (Who cares if they keep it.)
    3. Begin the legal proceedings to get rid of this stupid law.

I'm getting alot of negative vibes from you people.

No wonder cops watch this forum closer then a 18 year old kid watching tits bounce on that stripper, his first time out.

I wouldn't be surprised if they got gtamotorcycle.com favorites links right beside childporn and gangbanger sites.

I have no problem with the police. My problem is with the actual law that was put through by our government. The fact that the cops have the potential avenue to abuse the power they have been given with no checks or balances is disgusting. Even more sickening is the people that support these types of laws.
