know where to rent a truck to transport a bike?

anyone know places that rent out trucks or anything with a hitch that offer "unlimited" km ?? need to pick up a bike in the US but my little civic don't have a hitch and i don't want to tow with it. any ideals ?

Rent a fullsize cargo van. In particular one of those new Dodge vans with the high roof. Shop around and you'll find your unlimited miles I'm sure.

if you put a hitch on your car and rent a trailer. that will add up to the same as renting a full size van

Ask around. Last time I was at Shannonville there were a couple guys from Quebec that do it all the time to get to Ontario tracks. Had an F4 in their regular full size cargo van, and told me they rent them unlimited miles. Just start calling Budget, Uhaul, Discount etc.

And if your going to rent a vehicle .. make sure the rental company knows you plan to take it to the US. Most of them dont allow it ..

ou can always rent out a minivan... remove the seats and take home that way.. ive seen so mnay people do that for track days....

If you're renting, make sure that the vehicle is allowed to cross the border.

thanks for all the reply, most rental company don't offer unlimited km anymore.i know that budget use to but not anymore.
the mini van ideal sound good, anyone know where to get them with unlimited km or know what van/suv that can fit a bike into?

You can rent a hitch and trailer from Uhaul, but you have to tow with your car. They will install and remove the hitch for you.

Check out travelocity.ca my understanding is the Hertz will rent out Mini-Vans and allow you to cross the border without a surcharge + Unlimited Kms.
