No gas cap lubb'n?
|
I've got an older Kawi ('90), and the gas cap breather is starting to get a little stuck. Stiff putting the key in & turning, and it looks like one of the metal flaps in the keyhole isn't closing under the keyhole properly, and after some spirited riding there's a strong smell of gasoline as well as a little leakage around the keyhole.
What's a decent gas & rubber valve safe lube to use in there? I really really don't want to disassemble the whole thing to see what's going on in there.

The most common problem with motorcycles is the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.
WD-40 rocks...take that, Angus!
Ever tried this stuff.
Do not put it on my chain, use the chain stuff.
Been using this for years, works well on locks, etc.
