I don't even use Facebook much but I find it to be an odd phenomena. The way it works anything you say or do there gets advertised to your whole network of family, friends and relatives. Before you know it you may find yourself having to explain things to nosy aunts, uncles and cousins etc.
I'm sure many of us would behave a bit differently when we're in a family gathering compared to when we're with friends, and our business persona may be a third image we project. That's why some of us may want to have more them one Facebook profile.
