Ive been riding for about 4 months now. I currently ride a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 250R in pearl blue. The thing that really surprised me is how friendly everyone is. I used to ride a Cbr 125R and had a 600 pull up next to me. He pulled up his visor and said hi, and that simple gesture both pleasantly surprised and inspired me.
Im a pretty fast learner- I've for a good feel for my new bike already- but of course being careful as always. Being a medic, I see a lot of things on the road that just shouldn't be- and want to try avoiding becoming a statistic myself.
Some minor concerns aside- riding has given me some degree of inner peace. The feeling is spectacular and has since made me loathe cages. Not that I have anything against cars, but it's like comparing apples to oranges- and I've seemingly taken a kind of fondness to oranges as of late.
The other part of it is the people. Being someone who naturally tries to help people, I was happy to see a similar attitude amongst most riders- and it makes me feel great to be a part of that kind of community.
Well I'm going to finish this latte and continue enjoying riding. If anyone out of etobicoke wants to get together just message me.
