    Failed the M2 Exit......

Yep as the title states I failed the M2 exite. As mentioned 2 days ago I had the test at the Oshawa centre at 12 noon. Reason for fail is I hit between 120-130 on the highways portion.

Another mistake I did but did not contribute to failing the test is I was was in the left tire track in the the left lane when there are 2 lanes. So when there are 2 lanes and your on the far left lane stay in the right tire track, when on the right lane stay on the left tire track...duh me....

Oh well gonna have to try again....

Im sure it was unintentional, but when you are merging into traffic on the 400 series highway you cannot be riding slow to the point where the traffic behind you has to hit the brakes to allow you to merge in.
Your supposed to match the speed, merge in, then slow down to the speed limit. If this wasn't true then I wouldn't of passed

This is really confusing. You're supposed to match speed and merge without slowing down traffic, but you cannot speed (breaking the speed limit). So either way you can fail?

The right lane of the highway is usually going the speed limit or slower...

    LOL *bow**bow* thankyou thankyou

Actually, you CAN speed; I got up to about 110 to merge, but after that you gotta slow down. If there's a car going that fast in the right lane, try and get in behind him/her.

Naahh... Thanks to the countless left lane hogs, the left lane is the slow one. Never anyone in the right lane, so the right lane is the fast one. Kinda reverse logic, but oh so true in Ontario...

Your speedo is off by like 8-10%, so you really were never speeding.

not always true. I failed mine the first time 'cause my speedo read low. so when I thought I was doing 50 it was actually more. Passed with flying colours the second time, the tester didn't get why I failed before.
Not wearing gear while riding is like unprotected sex. Sooner or later you're going to get a rash!

OK, but the point of my post was that if you speed - you fail. You shouldn't be able to break the speed limit, one of main rules, and not get busted for it.

Should you do the speed of traffic or the speed limit ? I have had different answers from instructors. I'll be sure to clarify this with the examiner prior to the exam.

    sorry to hear .

Yep, you have to keep to the speed limit.. can feel quite brutal to do so, but thats the rules.
