    Please help!!!!

I just got my M1 and bought a 2001 Harley Davidson Sportster 883.

I am 26 years old and i'm shopping around for insurance. I got quotes from Duffy, td, jevco, and statefarm all around 4k per year.

They seem to really care that the bike has high cc.

Is there a company who doesn't only look at cc but instead the type of bike?

Can someone help me out and steer me towards the best option?

    Cheers

The concept of total cost of ownership (true cost) bites another victim in the Butt.

You are doing this in the wrong oder.. Research cost then by the bike.

Anyway. Wait till you get your M2 might be the best advice given in the thread. Or sell the bike get a 250 get a year and M2 under your belt and wait. Also u didnt mention ticket or accidents.

4K sounds a bit high but we don't know your record. The 883 cc's from a Harley are less likely to get you into trouble than a smaller performance bike. However I know of one insurance company the won't handle anything over 750 cc.

I priced out a harley too when I was looking for a bike. It was almost 4x the cost of the ninja 250 to insure until I had a full M. Sad part is the ninja 250 is faster than a 883... that said i'll still trade you :P
