Mid thirties, zero tickets or accidents, live in Mississauga and drive an echo.
Desjardin (covered through Certas Direct) increasing from $1700 to $2000 (18% increase) a year for basic coverage!
Un-freaking believable. Needless to say, time to shop around once again.

I'm too sexy for my turban.
Wow, I guess I am one of the few who got a decrease. My car went down from $25xx to $18xx. First year of motorcycle insurance is $700 compared to the quote of $1800 that I got last year for a 250cc(M2 is ~4ys). Same address and license history. 28yr old male.
damn, my insurance went from 2400 down to 1400, and when asked why, was just given a bullpoop excuse...i hate insurance, it's just such a scam...like lawyers, an evil necessity...
Yes, the premiums are growing and growing and Ontario's premiums are in lead!
Even regulators say it is toooooo much! http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/Canada/201...report-111205/
Yes, that is the key, apparently. My insurance more than doubled when I moved to the GTA from Stratford.
I'm still searching around, but it looks unlikely that I will be able to find cheaper that $1900/y for liability only on an echo. If I bought a truck though (ford ranger, for example) I could get it down to $1200 to $1300 /y.... so much for trying to save money on fuel -- I just end up spending it on insurance.
