    Remember that even in States that do not have a helmet law, you may be required to wear eye protection.

    Gilligan taught me that. Makes sense. How often do you get sand or something in your eye, and think of the bugs on your visor vs how many times does your head hit the pavement. Your risk of going down is extremely high if you've been blinded by a pack of bugs.
