DIY HID installation for 09 ninja 250

Hi everyone so my HIDs finally came in i've been watching vids and looking at tutorials on how to install HIDs and my question is where is the best place to mount the ballast?! everyone has been mounting it in different places . . . zip tying in the upper cowling, zip tying on other cables running down, drilling it onto the black plastic under the fairing and so on. And any tips on installing these HIDs would be greatly appreciated as this will be a start to finish learning experience for me. As I will be installing my heat grips as well

    Thanks!

    You answered your own question.

There's no "right" way, it's wherever you see they fit the best. You want to put them some place where they won't get wet, but where air can circulate so it cools them. I've never heard of ballasts over heating, but any electrical component should have access to fresh air circulation to avoid premature failure.

I just bought the Heavy duty strips from CT and they have been fine for the last 2 years.
