    Another Noob

Hi guys and gals, found this website a little while ago and have been lurking a lot lately. Mostly trying to find some info that i haven't found yet so i'll ask and hopefully you guys can shed some light on the topic.

Ok i've got my rider training course this weekend at Humber and its my first time ever on a bike but been interested in them for years but anyway question is about gear and how finicky are they. I haven't bught any riding specific gear as of yet cause i don't know if i'll pass right so i have a leather bomber jacket that i wear alot and i got a construction type jacket which is stronger than denim , would that be good enough to wear? And the same goes for boots, i got cowboy boots and leather ankle high boots but are they good enough?

Hope somebody has a little idea of how strict they are on gear and its not a problem for me too get something quick if need be.

Thanks and hope to see some of you guys and gals out there in the near future. Be safe

    Welcome!

I took the same course at Humber. I rented a helmet from a place near Kipling Station I think..forget the name of it but I remember it was recommended in whatever papers they give you when you sign up so check those.

You will need a leather jacket, motorcycle gloves, and helmet for sure. You need ankle high boots, I think I wore hiking boots and they were fine with that.

welcome!!! i took the course @ humber as well, a few years back. u will need a helmet, riding gloves, moto jacket, and ankle high boots. u r allowed to wear construction boots if u have. but the jacket, helmet, and gloves are impt as well. good luck, just take your time and dont get nervous. its very easy. just remember, look to where u want your bike to go. it helps!!
