    Another possibility is the 1000 uses high octane, while the 750 doesn't.

    I will be checking more into this when the weather gets warmer and get to ride more.

    My '96 GSX-R750 called for 87 - my '03 GSX-R1000 calls for 91... And yes I do always use the minimum recommended gas.



    As for the difference in fuel econ - any time we go on long trips - nearly all the bikes in my group (600's, 750's, 1000's, 1300's, 1350's etc) get various mileage based on their tuning - or lack thereof. Some 600's are worse than the 1300's

    Another factor of course is how hard they are being ridden - and that depends on where we are riding.
    Too many factors, but CC's alone isn't a good indicator of fuel econ.
