a 125 ? with classes ? what ?!?

My 2c

A 600 will ruin your day if you're coming from cruisers. You will spend all day getting used to the bike and get a bad feel for track days. Happened to someone on my FAST course.

A 125 will be more rewarding if you don't psych yourself out over the fact that it's a 125.

A middle ground alternative that I would recommend is a Kawi 650 (FAST rents them) which you will be able to push pretty hard and push yourself too.

Don't dismiss the lessons. In fact pay attention and practice their drills. At the end of the day you will be able to go out on your own (again, my FAST experience) to prove just how awesome you are.

i took the racer5 stage 1 and was just hooked.

the week after i went out and bought a track bike.

125's were great for my first track day. By the end of the day i had no problem hanging with the 600 in the green group in the corners (2-5 @tmp)

You should get into it, i need a track buddy from Fergus

Can't go wrong with Racer 5 stage one. Gives you a feel for track and probably the cheapest way to see if you'd like it or not.

P.S. You will love track. lol

More than enough. 15 min sessions every 45 min, starting at 9am, stopping from 12 to 1 for lunch and end of day is 5pm

The Mosport RDT track isa great introduction to track-days as it's low-speed and technical. Slow-speed so you won't be intimidated by guys flying past you (it can be rather scary to a newb being passed close like that) and it's designed to challenge you to make good lines so that you keep your speed up. I'd recommend it.
