    Sliders?

hey guys, I am thinking of purchasing some sliders (frame, clutch, fork) after a near miss when a car was 3/4 into my lane while i was making a right hand turn (due to a parked car on his side and probably a lil stupidity) and i hit the rear brake a little to hard causing the back end to lock up and slide out, luckily i was able to pop the bike back up and gain control.

Here is what i have found so far:

    Now for a couple questions:

    - Do the fork sliders make a big difference, it doesnt look like the forks can touch much in the event of a slide? How would these be installed?

    - Are there any other sliders i can buy that will further protect my bike?

    Thanks.

    Re: Sliders?

I supposed it's splitting hairs, but this brand comes highly recommended from the YZF forums

    http://www.ebay.ca/itm/OES-FRAME-SLI...item3375080942

$10 more gets you the bar ends too, check out their store.

As for your questions, it's going to matter more *how* the bike is laid down. In some situations they might come in handy. Either way, it IS cheap insurance.
