    Re: Transporting a second helmet?

I just figured something out... its pretty sick.

So I always have an issue of the passenger helmet bouncing around and scratching the tail (especially during hard corners or wheelies) so I used one of my dogs leashes to tie to the opposite passenger peg and back across to the helmet (oh btw the helmet strap is secured under the passenger seat) then i just wrap it around the strap and chin of the helmet and it stays in place... A pic would discribe it better, I'll post one next time I do it.

< Put it in your top box. If you don't have one, get one.

The reason I bought my top-box was to give me somewhere to lock up my helmet when I have reached my destination, or even just stop for a coffee. I really hate carrying it around with me and have heard too many stories about people messing with or causing damage to a helmet left hanging on the bike.

i used to wrap the longer strap around the peg and safety pin it so it wouldn't bounce. then i stopped caring and realized that it doesn't bounce around enough for my RF1000 to scratch anything.

Why you have to deliver it on your bike and spending extra?

    Sell it.

Happy to report helmet and gf both were transported unharmed!
The helmet was a pain in the ***** but it held onto the backpack!
Today I bought the damn cargo mesh at CT so this'll be easier now!

    Thanks everyone!
