I just heard on the police scanner that a motorcycle hit the guard rail on the Gardiner and seems to have gone over top the Gardiner. They are unable to find the rider at the moment.

damn that's quite a fall. Hopefully it occurred on a ramp or something where the distance to ground is lower.
I entered the Gardiner eastbound at York and all was ok. Did see a bike down on the NB DVP with activity going on over the barrier - curb lane. I posted up on that. I wonder if the scanner info was inaccurate and it was the NB DVP?Originally Posted by matthew

There was a lot of chatter about an accident at NB DVP from Lakeshore. The police wanted to shut down ramps to NB DVP, so what you saw might have been the accident. I haven't heard anything new about the status of the accident or rider.

In the other thread on this, it is in fact the NB DVP where the accident occurred (right before Gerard), and the rider has been declared deceased.
Peeing in the gene pool...
