He could have gone quicker if there was less traffic.

and he def went over 300. just the speedo didnt go past 299
There was some pretty intense moments there. Splitting cars that fast is risk. I don't under stand how this is shocking though, its an R1. Granted not everyone who buys a sport bike goes fast...but I would think most people buy them for that purpose. I could be wrong, happened once before.
I don't ride a bike for safety.
The speeds the rider was splitting cars at is intense. I'm not even at the point I'd be brave enough to get to 300 on a closed course (if I had a bike that could hit that).
not that "Shocking", reminds me of that r1 moscow video. but way softer.
people are wieners. i also find it hilarious how its like the police are just figuring out people are posting videos like that to youtube.

Yea, its only natural to be afraid riding the razor sharp edge of life and death at those speeds. I mean anyone who cares for their family would agree. Other people decide which side of the edge you will be on when splitting that fast, not you.

there are hundreds of videos the same if not worse, thats why its not shocking. BC Police thinks seeing people go fast on motorcycles on public roads is so shocking, go on youtube and see how its not that uncommon. Im not advocating it, just laughing at the reaction of law enforcement.

Saw this on the news yesterday and you know what the first thing it made me think? I know what the police forces are going to crack down on this year, bikers, in particular sport bikers, all with the public cheering them on. Funny how the CBC news linked this to the Toronto street races and need for tougher laws in the same show.
Warning given, get ready!

Hey, they are using less gas than us....GET EM! Seriously what is the mo for the mass media (or should i say the banksters). One sport bike rider that run a little kid over without stopping? Nah they don't care about human life, its just to get the sheeple on their side. Follow the money.

this made the national news?
Canada is a country that doesn't know where it is going but is determined to set a speed record getting there.
It sounds like he might actually get off!
You don't buy a R1 to do the speed limit. At the same time, you don't buy one to go out there and be a maniac. It's one thing to go 30-50 over the limit but this is something that shouldn't be used to generalize sportbike riders.
Friend of mine had been followed home riding a blue r6 by an enraged pickup driver who claimed the r6 didn't signal a lane change. Locally, most people are being butthurt

CBC News now reports that the unidentified rider in question is 25 years old, unlicensed, and riding an uninsured Yamaha R1 registered in his mother's name.
