    It's just nice to know that in these days of miracle and wonder that we have options.

    I'm further west, in College Station. I get out to Houston a lot, mostly to the airport. Also get out to Austin, if only to enjoy the changes in elevation around there.

    How long were you in Texas? I've been here long enough to have memorized the Texas pledge, although I've never taken it...

    Not much, the longest stretch for me was 6 months long, and then several 1-month trips. I was in Clear Lake / Webster area (JSC). Loved going to Austin too!

    Chungd: Thanks! I may take you up on your offer to get me on the BMW path...

    My plan is to see how it goes with the Buell for the first year. I can do my own maintenance, but the main issue will be getting parts. They are getting scarcer and scarcer.

    But the Buell is an excellent ride, at least around here in the low-population-density environment.
