    Antigravity 4 cell battery

Anyone running the 4 cell antigravity battery for track or racing in a 600cc bike? I'm curious if there have been any issues starting on those cool mornings and how they hold up. looking for some insight to help decide between the 4 cell or 8 cell.
    Thanks

I had the 4 cell in my gsxr 600 and never had an issue with cold starting. It turns over a little slow but never let me down. If the battery in my 1000 is toast I'll be getting the 8 cell.

guess I could always boost if need be lol

I like the idea of saving the extra pound by going with the 4 cell over the 8.......call me greedy

Well I was just worried about those early cold mornings cause they sate the battery doesnt work well bellow 10° c

If you do early cold starts and you say it works fine then thats good enough for me lol.

If it is a LiFePo then there can be a bit of a procedure to getting it going when cold. Essentially, you "try" to start the bike once or twice with the cold battery, and it doesn't work - acts just like a near-dead lead acid battery, might crank it part of a single revolution. But, drawing the current from it in that way heats it up, and then on the third try or so it spins. There is a youtube video on this out there somewhere...

What about ballistic? IIRC the 4 cell was like 69 bucks

Im not sure what IIRC is but the Ballistic batteries apparently do not offer any warranty if you race. Ive also heard of a few people that were not happy with them or their customer support

Interesting. I have an 8 cell shorai on my R1 and it started up without any difficulties at about 5 degrees after the second attempt.
