I definitely didn't come out with any intention to impress anybody, just to have fun and support the ODSC. I'm glad to have surprised a few people, but I was really just there to do my own thing and enjoy myself with you guys.
Maybe next year I'll show up again, if the bikes still running, and I'll have my bars mounted and the rear suspension installed. And hopefully I'll be able to actually finish in one piece. Or maybe I'll smarten up and actually go out and buy a "real" dual sport bike by then, but who knows.

I totally remember you. That is such an awesome bike you've got, and it would probably make a half-decent decent dual sport too. It's got the right rim sizes for the tires and I bet it would rip like stink off-road!
A 250cc 4-stroke single cylinder bike that only weighs 250lbs and has 24hp with skinny enough tires. It sounds like it would work even better than my cbr. You could even use the same tire as mine, with a 3.00-16 for the front and a 3.50-18 for the rear.

Yeah getting a rear tire real soon but just street tire. 90/90-18 i think thats just under 3.50 maybe 3 ?
My rear tire is a 3.00-17, but my stock size is 100/80-17... so I think you're right, because the one I have now is slightly smaller than the stock size approximately 90/90. But I'm pretty sure 3.00 and 3.50 are interchangeable, as long as you use a larger/smaller front tire to match it properly.
For example:
If I use a 3.50 rear, I would use a 3.00-2.75 front. But if I use a 3.00 rear, then I might use a 2.75-2.50 front.
Right now, I have a set of Shinko 244 dual sport tires, with 3.00 rear and a 2.50 front and it works just fine. Next year, I may actually switch to the Michelin Gazelle M62 because they have a lot of different sizes for my 17 inch rims, depending on whether I want to stay more on street and less off road. It would probably corner better, and they are rated up to 93mph (150km/h), but my Shinko tires are only rated up to 120km/h. Plus the Michelin tires are stupidly cheap prices.

That tire doesn't have a rating, apparently. So I'd say that you shouldn't exceed 100km/h.
I actually would recommend the Shinko tires, though. You barely even notice that it's a dual sport tire at all. Plus, they are rated up to 120km/h and they ride incredibly smooth AND they come in sizes that will fit both your front and rear wheel properly.

No I never said that. They are definitely tubed type tires.
It was interesting trying to fit a tube-type tire on my stock CBR tubeless rim, that's for sure. But it worked.
