There is one small modification required to fit the kit on US/Canadian models. An emissions valve on the right hand side needs to be modified so that it uses one mounting bolt instead of two. It is a very simple thing to do.

I paid 185$ for mine and they came from the States.
$250 is on the high side but much cheaper than fairing repairs if you drop the bike.
The shipping rates hurt though...

Yea, and it's AUD$249 ($255CND) and shipping is another $80+... But they are sweet.

lol... Yeah... That's definitely pricey for frame sliders...

Nice bike - was thinking about one myself. Enlighten me - every VFR forum I read says best buy is pre-2001 (before VFR went VTEC).
Is that true or is it just VFR purist talk?

As a 2000 owner ...
Gear-driven cams = less maintenance
Non-VTec = power when i want it

Gotta say though, i like the undertail and the 6th gen has some nice angles.

It is possible to put a 6th gen tail on the 5th gen. Undertail exhaust and looks so nice on a 5th gen
