    newbie from North Carolina

Hi I am Karen from North Carolina. Yes, I am woman and I ride bikes. I started when my father taught me how to ride one back when I was in my high school. Now I am in my college days and I am saving money to buy one after I graduate. For now, I only borrow the Honda VTX 1800S from my Dad.

Welcome to the GTAM Jungle. We don't get many southerners up here, how did you come across this site? You're blessed with some nice riding roads down your way; I've been to NC more than a few times, but that was in my big jeezus truck. Some day 'd like to get down there on the bikes with the wife.

Welcome aboard. We have a good number of ladies who ride here, so that ain't shockin' to us. Might have to deal with a bit of leghumpin' but less than the local girls

    Welcome how ya'all doing?

(Mike Cross at UNC Wilmington 1980 - brings back a lot of memories - drinking "shine" and cloggn').

The VTX is quite a bike young lady - you must have some great riding skills.

Blue Ridge Parkway was one of my favourite rides ever. Lake Lure was awesome too. People here get excited with a few kilometers of twisties on the Forks of the Credit and Twyn Rivers and you have literally hundreds of miles of that kind of pavement and can ride almost the whole year too.

So sorry for you..being stuck here in the land of straight flat roads, $6.00/gallon gas, and brutally high insurance rates. You will be yearning for home in no time. When you go back, Can I come with you?
