So the RCMP is getting sued again for sexual harrassment. Apparently the last time it cost them a million. This time there could be dozens or hundreds of claimants in a class action suit. Where does the money come from if they lose?
Are they insured for this type of thing or does it come out of their own budget?
Of course their budget comes out of our pockets.
Somehow I had it in my head that you couldn't get insurance for illegal activities.

As with any organization, there is money budgeted for legal costs. That said, if they have a bad year of getting sued and losing, they ask for more in the budget next year, so taxpayers pay regardless.
