As long as you properly follow the RIV importation process and register the bike for the road here then it shouldn't be an issue.

Yes, its already been imported, paper work done and the used bike dealership is in Toronto.
Brought my bike back from California and had it insured by State Farm once the bike is registered in Canada it does not matter as to get it register means the duties were paid and then bike is on the RIV list of approved list. May I ask what model as I traded in my US bike for my current bike.

Okay not mine you should have no issues insuring the bike once it has been registered in ontario
Why would anyone have a problem insuring a bike, which was properly imported?? The only time I've seen people having trouble getting insurance is bikes imported from Japan, because their VIN numbers are shorter, and that problem is solvable too.
