    What are the advantages/disadvantages of a side mount steering damper vs a front mount?

    Side mount is more susceptible to damage in a crash, but easier to mount.

    a side mount had a huge adjustment range and for reason I find that my ohlins top mount isn't as stiff as my ohlins side mount.
