No start 09, R1 with buzzing from under seat ?

Last ran the bike around 15 Jan for 20 minutes, all systems okay, fired up first time.

Battery is fully charged, sounds like the fuel injection is priming when the key is turned, all gauges reading normal.

Thumb the starter button and I get a buzzing to the rear left of the battery, (positive cable coming form battery).

I pulled both 15 amp fuses and they are good

Is this the starter relay and I need a new one ?

any suggestions would be helpful

On further checks the battery is at 10 Volts, will try charging some more, maybe its knackered beyond recovery ?

Sounds like its your battery!! Charge it up and you should be good to go. I would check the voltage once u get it running should be at 14.5v at around 4k rpm

Turns out the old battery had a dead cell, not bad for sitting in my basement for the winter.

One new gel battery later and I am good ($67 plus tax).

tender for $20 is even better though =p
