That was a really early trip down there. Did you get hit with some weather? A tornado went through Tellico on Friday.

I was down there last family day weekend. Left Friday night arrived Saturday noon (overslept in PA truckstop), too tired to to ride Saturday and did some work on my other bike.
Saturday they have a snow storm warning and it was raining the whole day of Sunday. Only able to ride on Monday from 11 to 5 pm.

re: 2nd pic - expecting trouble were you?
Better to regret something you have done than something you haven't.
^^^ interesting trip. everything ok?
Lol.My buddy in South Carolina is just a normal "southern" guy. It's weird to ride around with him all day knowing he has a 9mm in his pocket. We spent a day at his cabin up in the mtn's.His place is at Chimney Rock.Unreal view. The view is not from his place.

How were the conditions? I heard some roads were closed with the storms.
New to me for 2012.
Big storms went thru tues nite when i arrived.Wed was calm and dry, temps in the low 70's till about 3:00pm.I did the dragon twice and then did the Cherahola Skyway. It was wet, dry, foggy, cold and then warm again later on.I did Hwy28 later and it was fine, just cool at about 60 deg.My buddy John and I did Caeser Head Mtn thursday.Waaaaaay more fun the tourist trap dragon. There are a lot of good roads down there!

The hollow points are scarey? When the trigger is pulled, does it matter?
Here's a tour of my friends place.Directly behind it is the waterfall (Hickory Nut Falls)from the movie "Last of the Mohicans" It's 400ft high, and the base is about 1,000ft from his creek.

Americans love their guns.....that's why when I am down there I don't piss off the natives, you never know, seems like everyone has gun.
As far as the hollow points, you tell me, in this video the targets are bottles of frozen water...

The last time I went down to the Gap and rode the Dragon, I had a good time. Am I the only one? I tried to explore the area too, I can definitely believe there are other good roads there, but the Gap was still worthwhile. I was there in the middle of the week, maybe that's why.
So, other places to check out next time:
-Thatham Gap
-Chimney Rock
-Caesar's Head
