High revs sputter on a gixxer

Hey guys, I took my 07 Gsxr 600 out today for the first time in the season. Did a little inspection prior to the ride and warmed it up to around 50* looked good to me. While riding I noticed at higher rpms around 10-11k the engine sputters aggressively. I googled it most say fuel problems (ie kinked line) others say electrical.

Any one ever experience this. Bps is charging me $90 for an inspection on Monday but if I could figure it out by then I'll save my money. Any help will do thanks.

1, old gas,
2, fuel valve not allowing gas through
3, mice ate some of your wires over the winter.
4, stuff in the air box, (mice can make a nest in the air box in the winter so you dont get any air at high rpm

I doubt it's a kinked fuel line.

How did you store the bike for the winter?

Bike was stored in my garage with cover and fuel stabil was put in her, oil change, chain was lubed up, and exhaust was covered with a rag. I doubt I have Mice in the garage plus the cover was on tight. Gonna check the plugs over the weekend

A throttle position sensor will do that also. They will check out ok via an electrical meter test but not be ok. Therefore, it is not adviseable to use a used one. They can be approx $170 new. Ouch.

I know a Yamaha dealer that told me they replace them on Yamahas very often.
I know of a couple Suzukis that had the top throttle sensor go bad but check ok

Dump the old gas and throw it in your car, put in fresh stuff.
Take out them old spark plugs and put a fresh set in. See if that clears it up.

My FZ6 requires new plugs each spring, no matter how I store the bike.

I might as well use the old gas up right? I'd just keep it below 9k and I'll throw new plugs in to see if that does the trick.

Don't get me started on my old ninja. The color wasn't Kawi green it was lemon green

It runs "fine". The first year, I really fogged the engine so after I burned out the fogging it needed new plugs.
Last year it had a bit of a sputter mid range that cleared up after it got run for a few minutes, but I still threw in new plugs, it's just something I do every spring.

Plugs always look good. Golden brown tip so it's running right.
My yzf250 gets a new plug about 4 times a season. Even if it's running fine.

the bike ran fine when you parked it for the winter, right? so whats different, the battery is fully chargered,ok and the mice didn't get at it, ok and the tank was full of fuel with too much stabilizer,maybe ? try topping up the tank with shell gold, no ethinal.

Yes I was able to red line it last season. I always use shell 91 on all my gas engines.

have you checked the air intake tubes and hoses and even the air filter? i found a nest in a bmw air tract,last year that sucked the air filter into the air box with the nest fibres drawn into the manifold.

For reals? K gotta cancel my appointment with BPS and check for my self first.
