    r6 License Plate mounting!

    Hi,
I just got a 2006 yamaha r6, and I wanted to mount my license plate further down the back of the bike (near the rear hugger), and I was wondering as to how to do this and if there are mounting kits for such application?

You can make your own mount or check eBay for inexpensive kits.

Btw have you thought about the tickets you'd be getting?

HTA section 13 covers number plates. Section 62 covers lamps. Your plate is neither clearly visible to following vehicles, nor is it visible to a photo RADAR or highway toll camera, and so is illegal. It is not mounted at the rear of the vehicle, and so is illegal.

I got pulled over last summer for a bent plate (hard landing off some railroad tracks). Cop let me go but hassled me a bit about the cut fender (previous owner) and told me that plates mounted deep under the tail piss them off. He was a bike cop. Might've just been him but it was enough to make me forget about the idea.
