Convicted in absentia, how to reopen conviction?

Received a notice of fine and due date today, but never received the trial notice. This is for a ticket I receive a little over six months ago. Do I have to go to the convicting court (Blenheim) to reopen, or can it be done at a local provincial offences court?

    Thanks for any help

My understanding is that it must be at the original court, within normal business hours and within 15 days of becoming aware of the conviction, and must be in person (Section 11 of the Provincial Offences Act).

Thanks guys, was really hoping not to have to drive to Blenheim twice.
