I'm not that hard core, I do my best with everything but no one is perfect. Not sure about Ash Wednesday, I think that's a Catholic thing.

Homemade on the bbq is still the best.Regular ground beef keeps it flavourful. And most people use water or milk to add moisture.I add a big puddle of melted butter.Mmmmmmmm.

I'm a total burger guy. I go to nice restaurants with the wife, just to order a burger. Long story short, we almost opened a burger shop in Baiden, Ontario.

Montana's Cookhouse burger is an amazing burger, and I have been back just to get that burger again.

There is a place in Brooklin, called brooklin burgers that also makes a great burger!

Totally agree homemade is 10 times better than the crap you buy at a burger joint, using Cornstarch is the key.

Royal is ok but The Burger Priest is way better and Royal is rediculously expensive.

I cant get over the gross industrial meat patty texture of Montana's burgers, but the toppings on the firecracker burger aren't too bad. I still have yet to pay for a burger that can beat what I make at home. Also, burgers aren't supposed to be full of ingredients. Beef, salt, and pepper. If it doesn't taste like much after that, your beef sucks. If your burger is dry, then your'e cooking it too long, or have the wrong kind of beef.

+1 - Nothing beats homemade. I've tried Priest Burger, Licks, South Burgers, national burger chains etc.....I think PB was most disappointing - soggy bun, long wait, meh flavouring - over rated....When I travel to Asia, Europe, South America, Caribbean etc on buisness I make an effort to try McDs to see how consistent it is and the price etc...most disapointing was Uruguay where I've had the best beef EVER....no idea how they srewed up the burger. Maybe it sat under a warming lamp for 1/2 a day - not too many customers....I actually prefer Harveys.

EDIT - PB had a texture and flavour like Wendy's - but Wendy's is about 1/2 the price for what seems like the same burger - puts on the flame suit......

If you want a good chain burger, try one from MOXIES, the Feta burger is great, and yes I know, the scenry is not bad either, but the wife approves of the food.
