Ummm.....well, he doesn't look like a real ightweight and I am a master of packing light and frugal, one of my main goals is to keep weight to an absolute minimum. I have spent the last couple of years whittling down my camping kit to minimilast proportians, when I tour ,all my clothes fit in a large ziplock bag, like, all of them.

I am always amazed and the stuff pple bring. Whatever that blue bag is,maybe his tent? that is bigger than my entire camping setup, tent, sleeping bag, pillow, thermarest and cooker, pots pans and dishes.

    Jes' sayin"....

Immaterial - he has the correct ride for the conditions he faced on the trip, you don't if you are doing the Dempster. He runs an adventure riding blog site, he and his partner circum-navigated the entire of North America in a single season. I'd give him the nod for "experienced adventure rider".

Decided I'll get a PLB when I get back to Canada - too expensive to rent for the 6 weeks I'm here and now I have some local riders to tap so fewer solo situations in unknown turf.

Dude, chill the eff out. You submitted a photo with no information attached other than the busted shock, I amde a comment on what I saw in the pic. How would you know if I don't have the " right" bike for the Dempster? Do you even know what I am riding up there? Geez, untwist your panties!
