Great looking bike! I bet it's more fun than the CBR125's that I rode on the gearing up course, even those little things were pretty cool! Those naysayers will just have to suck it up, if you ever outgrow that bike you can likely resell it for the better part of the initial cost. Beginner bikes hold their value well!!
