It is a Ural. Did you know Brad Pitt rides a Ural? Now you know!

I work at Ural Canada/ Peterborough Cycle, so I see them all the time, no doubt in my mind that it's one
Not wearing gear while riding is like unprotected sex. Sooner or later you're going to get a rash!

Because of Cuba's communist relationship with the former Soviet republic you see lots of Urals (captured east german BMW technology from the 40's) and Jawa ,CZ , Lietner and the odd Dnepr (ukraine- connection to Ural). Some Sachs running around as France was a trading partner.

Around Havana you can find a collection of Harley riders, nothing newer than mid fifties. They have a biker subculture thats pretty interesting.

There are a few late model Chinese 2 strokes running around based on 70's yamaha 350's

Its really a trip if your into motor technology, you get a 2yr old Peuguot sedan parked beside an International 2 ton truck taking a family to church. Horses compete on the expressway with Mercedes buses.

There's also a bunch of chinese knock-offs of the same pre-WWII BMW model.
