Basically yes. I have to try it for my car though. I hear its not bad for car quotes.

For your future reference, to compare one car to another you might find the CLEAR rate groups handy -- you can find the info here:
    http://www.ibc.ca/en/Car_Insurance/B...w_Car/HCMU.asp

They post an Excel table of every year/make/model along with their insurance risk factors (i.e. you can tell which cars are more or less risky/pricey in the eyes of an insurer).

People are confusing accuracy with completeness. If you walked into a Jevco broker and they quoted you $6000 on a GSXR600, would you conclude that they are inaccurate because State Farm is quoting $1600 on the same bike?

Kanetix will ONLY provide a motorcycle quote with Jevco. Jevco is very expensive for SS bikes, so if you quote a SS bike on Kanetix then you should expect to see a rate three or four times higher than State Farm or TD. Does this mean the Kanetix quote with Jevco is inaccurate? No. It simply means that Kanetix isn't finding you the best deal for the given bike/rider combo. Is this lack of completeness misleading for people quoting motorcycles on Kanetix? I would say yes, since people falsely assume that Kanetix is quoting more than one company.

Conclusion: For motorcycles, Kantetix may give you an accurate Jevco quote, but don't expect it to quote your bike with any other company.

Ill bet that jevco wouldn't quote me that high if I called a broker.

Which is why I said Jevco "may" give you an accurate Jevco quote. I haven't tested to see if Kanetix has accurately programmed the Jevco rates. If you notice a premium difference between a Kanetix Jevco quote and a broker Jevco Quote (that isn't due to different levels of coverage being quoted), then you can let Kanetix know so they can try to correct their programming.

I'd have to agree that they are WAY out there. I pay just over $600 a year for my SV650. The quote I got was $3640, didnt matter whether I entered a GSXR-600, 750 or 1000. Quote stayed the same. Somethings wrong.
If you try to make it idiot-proof, someone will just make a better idiot....
