    indoor short track

So i had the chance to go to Gene Romero's short track series opener. It was in Vegas tonite and they run on a polished concrete floor, to get grip they squeegy on a layer of Pepsi cola Syrop and let it get tacky.
The riders I spoke with said the hookup was working pretty well, they just dont run enough races on it in a season to get the gearing and tire pressure really dialed.
The older (bsa, triumph,TT) bikes dont have room to wind up much but the newer 450 motocross mod bikes were flying.

Anybody else ever seen this concrete/pepsi combo stuff? it was new to me.

I've seen some indoor go cart tracks use it. They stopped when the kart frames started to split in two.

Yup, some Flat Track Roller Derby leagues do this since they play on a concrete floor too. Back when my wife was my girlfriend we coached a team in Toronto.

They do it in open-wheel sprint cars in the States as well..midget sprints etc.
