    Jan. 5th Ride. GoPro.

It was a bit cold but nothing too bad. I wanted to see how the GoPro would look mounted in different positions. I went back home when flurries started to fall

Nice. The helmet cam view was kinda creepy as we're just looking at your eye movements lol

LOL, good point. I might splice those shots in if I get a second GoPro but I probably won't use that as a main perspective on any ride.

I now realize the importance of putting a mic near the exhaust and mixing in the audio in post.

Yeah I noticed straight away that you can hear the exhaust clearly. What setup did you do for that? I have a gopro hero 2 with external mic connector...

Actually there's no mic yet; I was disappointed with the results, haha.

I've just got the HD Hero so there's no mic input. I was going to order a Zoom H1 from BH (because Vistek and other Canadian shops are a ripoff) and sync that audio with my vid.

Nice video. Which program did you personally use to edit the videos? How big of a file size did that 5min or so video get converted to?

I just used iMovie that came with my Air to edit it. Thinking of buying Final Cut because iMovie is a bit annoying in regards to clip selection. Good for everything else I did.

I shot in 540p@60 fps so my files were smaller than the HD ones. WHen I was editing I think I used up about 15 GB of space for about 4 GB worth of footage. I think it outputted to about a 300 MB file pre-YouTube.

I bet if you shoot at 720p@30fps the file size would be the same or even smaller. There's no point shooting @60fps for youtube since they down convert everything to 30fps
