    2011 cbr 250ra

I just purchased a 2011 Honda CBR 250RA (ABS Model) including all applicable charges and taxes for $5000.00. The bike is given 2 years factory warranty as part of Honda promotion and also They will store the bike for me until I come and pick it up in summer, all at no additional cost.

I pay $1000.00 down payment for the bike and the rest will be financed for 48 month at 4.9%. Also, there will be no payment for 90 days.

I got this today Dec 16, 2011. Did I get a good deal or I over paid????

Congratulations on getting a great bike! Why do you care about the price now? Just wait for the spring and enjoy the bike then.

the storage this winter is a good trade for the cost of borrowing the $4000. Looks good providing you don't sell 3 months into the season.
    New to me for 2012.

2012 still riding a 2011 bike (no good)
$5000 is great, but only $5k you still have to finance it... including the interest, FAIL. (no good)
90 days no payment is great, but they keep your bike in the garage you don't even get to look at it, FAIL. (no good)

The deal itself is fantastic but what you are doing for yourself is the opposite.

$5000 out the door, great price on a great bike, in fact it sounds almost too good and that should worry you. List is $4999. hst is $650 + dealer prep and shipping it is approaching 20% discount, that is a lot on a low priced bike with limited mark up. To me the worry is the storage, the bike is still with the dealer, are they PLANNING a BANKRUPTCY? They got your $1000, if they go belly up you may not get your bike or have legal expenses to get it. Never happenned to my but has to a couple of friends, one a home theatre system totally paid for, the other a travel trailer with a large down payment both lost 100% of money spent. Maybe store the bike elsewhere., If you have trouble getting the bike from them for storage be very suspicious.
Not trying to rain on your parade, maybe others can comment on this more positively

Are you for real? Isn't there a can of lube you need to spend some time saving a dollar on. Your advice on this topic should be ignored.

i remember paying 5000$ for a brand new honda cbx 1000cc, six cylinder in 1979, then honda brought out a ns 400, a 2 stroke 3 cylinder for 5000$ and now a 250 is worth 5k? sign of the times.

    Re: 2011 cbr 250ra

looks like a great deal thinking of trading in my litre SS bike and grabbing 2, one for street, one for track, the money I would save riding a 250 instead of a 1000 would pay for track days, tires, gas, etc...
anyone here make the switch from big bike to smaller cc bike?
