Don't think i've seen a post on here about this yet, sorry if repost. The 150 looks a hell of a lot better then the 125 ever did...

The 2011-on CBR150 is exactly the same bike as the 2011-on CBR125 except for the engine. The 150 engine is DOHC 4-valve, and makes a fair bit more power than the 125 engine. It's also a direct swap ...
(The version in this video - 2011 model - replaces a previous model that was very similar to the previous CBR125 also, except for the engine.)
The CBR150 is only sold in Thailand and a few other countries in southeast Asia. Everywhere else, gets the 125cc version of the same bike.
i just bought the CBR250 2011. black and red. i agree that from the ride it looks amazing but the front could look a little better. However, it is a lot better than my marauder 250.

I like the changes they made to the 2011 CBR125. I didn't know there was a 150 until now. Any idea if/when it'll come to North America?

Apparently not. Supposedly Honda Canada tried to get Honda to bring the 150 instead of the 125, but head office wouldn't go for it.
No idea why. The previous CBR150, I could understand, because it was carbureted (won't pass emission standards in the western world) and the lighting wasn't designed to conform to western-world standards. But the new 150 is identical to the 125 except for the engine. Same lighting, closed-loop fuel-injected, 3-way catalyst, etc.
Never. According to the Honda reps at the bike show it won't pass emissions testing here or in Europe. As Brian P said it also makes a fair bit more power than the 125 so it would very likely cannibalize sales from the CBR250R.

That's bunk; the new CBR150 has closed-loop EFI with 3-way catalyst same as the 125 has ... and it's designed to pass Thailand's newly-implemented emission regulations which (as I understand it) are MORE stringent than our standards! Canadian and US emission standards for motorcycles are lax; witness the carb'ed Ninja 250 which is sold in fuel-injected form everywhere else in the world (including Thailand).
Thailand's new emission regulations are behind the replacement of the old carbureted CBR150 with this new model ...
I suspect not wanting to cannibalize CBR250R sales is the real reason. The CBR150 would probably have to be sold at a *slightly* higher price than the 125 because of the extra camshaft and valves ... but somehow I can't see 1 extra camshaft and 2 extra valves costing that much; particularly on an engine that they make in bazillion quantities since it's not only CBR's that get these engines but also Sonics, Airblades, PCX'es, and all sorts of other little bikes sold in vast quantities in Asia but not here ...
