    Some good late season rides

Other riders have been telling me that they get a lot of riding done in the shoulder season, so I make a quick list of all the places I could think of that you could get to in a weekend. You can read the article here: http://www.northernontario.travel/mo...son-ride-guide

Lemme know if you think of any others. I figured day trips or weekend trips are really the only option at this time of year...

Re: Some good late season rides

This time of year - rides along the edge of the Great Lakes are often warmer - by 3-4 degrees.

Long Point, Dover, Niagara Falls/Niagara River are all lovely. Leave at 11 or so get back around 5 pm.

The Lakes stay warm for quite a while. Both Lake Erie and Ontario are sitting around 11 degrees so wind coming of them will be warmer than inland.
A loop along the southern shore of either Lake will tend to be okay and warmer than inland unless there is a cold front about - in which case that warm lake could be a LOT of snow downwind.

Cannot believe it's 17 degrees out just now - damn !!!
