    Ride Report - 2 Bikes, 2 States, 2 Days and 2 Turkeys

In which a friend and I head down to New York and Pennsylvania over one night and two days during this past long weekend.

    Google Maps link:
    http://g.co/maps/emakf

The forecast was excellent, but i still packed my rain gear and three sets of gloves, a cold/wet set, a cool weather set, and my warm weather gloves. That lets you know how the rest of the packing went. Expect anything.

What I didn't expect was near perfect riding conditions all weekend long.

We left Friday night from Richmond Hill at around eight o'clock, with the general thought of an overnight in Springville NY, but only made it as far as Gowanda NY where everybody was karate fighting at the local Restaurant and Lounge where Molson Canadian is a premium beer and will set you back $2.75 a bottle at the bar.

Everbody was Karate fighting! Those cats were fast as lightning!

The Billion Dollar Highway, in Amish country New York? Who knew?

Two turkeys having a wonderful ride!

A trip highlight, Hyner View State Park. The road up and down the mountain is worth the trip alone.

I got the "Hang" part right, but really messed up on the "Gliding".

My graceful and elegant riding partner...

    And, as always, more here:

    A
nd a little game we'll play called "Find Kiterider" who we ran across at the Water Tank Hollow in Pennsylvania on Route 44, he was heading south, we were heading north and home.

Yes, he pulled in to say hello. (And Kudo's dude, you shot got some great pictures with my camera!)

Awesome pics!!! I need to take my camera the next time I make a trip out there. Would've been fun to catch the bears (The ones I nearly ran over ) on video though.

Dee saw some deer, and I saw a suicidal chipmunk, but that was about all.

I'm glad you enjoyed the ride, we both had an awesome weekend, and I'm glad I ran into you.

    Cheers!

Sweet!! saw a few suicidal chipmunks myself. Must be something in the nuts there.
Btw, I had to reschedule my M2 exit for the 27th and 29th instead, which is just a two week delay, so it's not that bad.

    Thanks Adri!

Pick the right weather, hotels, and I know you'll both enjoy the trip.

It was two and a half days of perfect riding. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I hear State College isd a great hub for Pennsylvania roads. Perhaps next season.
