If you go riding in the trails its mandatory to have liability insurance, it is much cheaper than regular street insurance though.

liability insurance ? cover's who, you the bike,the tree's or its just another mcguinty money graving imposition, soo been a dirt bike with insurance ?? did you need to have bike driver's lisence and plate's?? Iam confuse

You could still crash into a trails rider potentially.

You dont need a drivers license but there is an off road plate you need.
