One might think this is an advertising gimmick planned for the new release of the I-phone.
with all the billions, maybe he just decided to dissapear and hang out with Elvis, Morrison, and Osama

That's a rather insensitive comment. He has battled cancer for quite a while. RIP.
The timing with regards to the new Iphone version is surely coincidental.
why did they choose to release the information about his death a day after the new iphone was release? Its steve's final curtain call!
Why do some people think everything is part of some big conspiracy theory???
Everyone knows that Steve Jobs has been sick for the last few years. Everyone knows that he had cancer. Cancer is a terrible disease that can pretty much strike anyone, any time. It is not always preventable or curable.
Maybe it was simply a coincidence that this happened the day after the latest Iphone release.
Maybe the company became aware that Steve Jobs was in his last days and pushed the release date ahead, to hopefully avoid an even uglier situation - having to do that product release *after* Steve Jobs had died. Compared to the current situation, that would be FAR more awkward.
Get over it. There's a new Iphone ... big deal, there's a new one every few months anyway. So what. And Steve Jobs is dead ... and we have lost one of the pioneers of the electronics age, although with the way his health has quite obviously been for the last little while, everyone knew that this day was coming.
Let's show some respect for the family and everyone that he interacted with.
Jobs has had pancreatic cancer since 2004. I'm not surprised in the least.
Advertising gimmick? Please. Apple has no need to stoop so low.

i guess no-one read the 2nd line of the post.
maybe the sarcastic smiley is actually needed.
as far as insesitive comments, meh. lots of people bite the bullet from disease.
how do you know he wasnt a total prick in person ? lol
for those that couldnt tell, it was a joke. and whats more funny to me, are those that took it serious.
I'm suprised he actually passed away.
you'd think that Apple would have had an App for that
So I guess we can make jokes when your loved ones pass away?
I would hardly call Steve Jobs a pioneer of electronics, but rather a pioneer of user-friendly software and a man so dedicated to his vision of minimalistic aesthetics (look at how long it took him to get away from that dang one-button mouse!)
He was a game-changer IMO. I honestly think the current tablet market wouldn't exist if it wasn't for him. The superphones may have eventually come about without him....and the mp3s probably would've evolved into what they are today without the iPods....but the tablets? No way man.
